Good Neighbors International (GNI) is humanitarian development International Non-Governmental Organization in General Consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). GNI has made great strides in its mission by providing people around the world with better quality  of life since its establishment in 1991 in south Korea. In Nepal, GNI started its mission from 2002. Child Sponsorship is the primary strategy for holistic child development.

Education as a right has been universally recognized since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Article 26 of declaration proclaims that "Everyone has the right to Education. Education shall …….". It has been integrated in development plan of Nepal after Nepal signed and ratified the UN Convention on the Right of the Child.

As being a right itself, the right to education is also as enabling right. Education 'creates the "voice" through which rights can be claimed and protected, and without education people lack the capacity to 'achieve valuable functioning as part of the living' (UNESCO-Right to Education).  If people have access to education they can develop the skills, capacity and confidence to secures other rights. Child protection education is another component under this intervention component. Within this component GNI facilitates to implement the 13 micro activities in different 18 CDPs.

Under this theme, GNI is intervening through different activities. Some of the activities are as follows:

School education Support: Under this activity, every selected child receives school education support along with tuition facilities and involve in different activities and events.

1. Mobilization of teacher cum social mobilizers: 94 human resources mobilized

2. School education Support each year: Under this activity, every selected child receives school education support every year Total Number of Student beneficiaries – 8538 (till 2010 December). The inputs are stationeries, school uniforms are provided.

3. Classroom Equipments support to schools: 88 link schools are supported. Schools are supported furniture (Desk and Benches) under this activity. The support is based on the allocation of funds and CDP Level Planning.

4. Construction Assistance in school: schools are assisted to construct and maintain the infrastructures to make education available, accessible, acceptable and adaptable.

5. Empowering School Child Clubs: 88 Child clubs are formed in 88 schools and strengthened to ensure the quality education and ensure the protection of child rights and participate in different spheres of social development frame.

6. Library Books support to Schools: Link schools are supported to setup and strengthen libraries. The books are supported in this regards.

7. School science lab support: Link schools are supported for science lab with equipments. The management and continuation will be responsibility of concerned schools.

8. Non-formal education:  Non formal education is supported to specific location and population. 

9. Computer Support to model schools: Model schools of are supported computers and Printer.  

10. Early Childhood education classes to Children: Children are benefited from ECEC at Bardiya Rajapur.

11. Xtra Curricular Activities: Extra Curricular Activities are conducted in every link schools where the technical and financial support from GN to Child Chubs either or direct schools.
