 Our History :
IN the year 1991, a group of people from Soul, South Korea gathered for the purpose of giving disadvantaged children a glimmer of hope. They concentrated in projects such as orphanages, handicapped children programs, finding homes for widows stricken from poverty, rural community development and the assistance of disadvantaged families of tuberculosis patients. In this way, Good Neighbors was born.

Those involved in the early days immediately realized the dire need of the same types of activities in other parts of the world. In 1994, Good Neighbors Involved itself (herself) through supporting medical relief and establishment and operation of two non-formal schools at Rwanda refugee camps during the Rwanda Crisis.

Good Neighbors International as a formal entity was established in 1996 as the main headquarters for all operations around the world. IN the following 14 years, GNI's projects expanded from just 2 to over 26.
