In Nepal around 70% of the overall disease burden is due to communicable diseases and 50% of burden fails on under 5's. One third of the Nepali population lives without clean and safe drinking water. These populations do not have access basic needs such as food health and education. In the same way more than one third of children are malnourished and under weight. Only about 15-20% of Nepalese have access to health services.

The main causes of ill health are perinatal conditions, acute respiratory illness, diarrhea and measles. For older age groups TB is a major problem whilst problems related to pregnancy, child birth and burns are major causes of ill health and death of women. 
Good Neighbors International Nepal intends to response in health service sector though regular health checkup of sponsored children and their parents on six monthly bases. Alongside, awareness campaigns, workshops, support treatment for the poorest of the poor people in critical health situation, snake anti-venom vaccination support etc. Activities with targets are planned as:

Activities with Physical Targets:
The preparation for the muscle mass!

1. General Health Checkup: The general health check up is planned twice a year. All the sponsored children and their parents as well as other community people are benefited.
2. Critical Situation People Treatment: Some poorest of the poor people will be supported for treatment in critical health condition within the project area.
3. CMA Health Workers Mobilization:  CMA health workers mobilized in project area to overcome the general health problems and create greater consciousness on health related issues in the community.
4. Awareness Campaign on Communicable Diseases: Campaigns are conducted in different project locations.
5. Workshop on Prenatal and postnatal to community Women: workshops are organized in different project locations.
